Collection: Retro Label Series

What is a retro label?

Fujii Sake Brewery was founded in 1863 (Bunkyu 3), and this year marks its 160th anniversary.
The founding brand was "Ryusei," but the company has maintained its commitment from its founder that "Ryusei is pure rice sake," and there was a time when it was unable to make pure rice sake due to a rice shortage and the company gave up on producing "Ryusei."

These "Hakutsukasa" and "Fujii Masamune" sakes supported Fujii Sake Brewery, which had discontinued its flagship brands.
Today, "Takaraju" (formerly called "Takaraju") is still consumed mainly in Hiroshima.
"Hoju" was named after the newspaper headline that ran on the occasion of Emperor Showa's birthday in 1901, which was surrounded by the words "Hoju Hoju Hoju..." Even today, it is a popular gift choice as a sake associated with auspicious occasions.
"Fujii Masamune" was released to commemorate the Paris World's Fair held in 1937.

Brands other than "Ryusei" that supported Fujii Sake Brewery from the Meiji period to the Showa period.

To put the spotlight back on these hidden heroes, we have reissued the label exclusively for direct purchase from the brewery.

Although the contents are a modern-day liquor, why not try drinking it and think back to when this label was in use?
