  • Does sake have an expiration date?

    Sake does not have an expiration date.
    If you choose Fujii Sake Brewery's sake, it's fun to age it to your liking.
    When storing, please keep it in a place away from direct sunlight, such as a closet or under the floor.

    However, products labeled "Namazake" or "Nama Genshu" have not been heat-treated and are of delicate quality, so they should always be stored in the refrigerator.

  • I found an old Ryusei in the closet. Can I drink it?

    Assuming it is a sake from Fujii Sake Brewery, let's first check its condition.
    As long as the sediment has settled, it is safe to drink.
    If it is cloudy, unfortunately it is not drinkable.

    The sediment is a concentrated source of umami, so you can either mix it in and drink it, or enjoy the clear liquid on top and then enjoy the sediment.

  • Do I have to put it in the refrigerator?

    Sake labeled as "nama sake" or "nama genshu" must be stored refrigerated.
    For other alcoholic beverages, storing them in the refrigerator will help them maintain their quality for a longer period of time.
    Our sake is made through thorough fermentation, so it can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dark place.

  • The color of the alcohol is yellow, is that okay?

    This is the natural color of sake, so it's fine.
    To make the sake clear, it is passed through a filter called carbon filtration.
    Fujii Sake Brewery does not filter its sake because filtration removes the color, flavor, and impurities.

  • What is unfiltered?

    Unfiltered sake refers to sake that has not been filtered with activated carbon.
    You can enjoy the flavor and taste of the sake just as it was when it was pressed.

    However, activated carbon filtration is not widely used these days, and many breweries use ultrafiltration methods such as SF filters.
    We do not use filters at our brewery because they remove enzymes, which are the components that give the sake its umami flavor.

    When we say "unfiltered," we mean that no filtration, including SF filters, has been performed.

    After squeezing the mash, we only remove the lees, then bottle and ship it.

  • Are there any alcoholic beverages that are only available in the online store?

    The Ryusei Online Store regularly offers online-only alcoholic beverages.

  • I want to know where I can buy Fujii Sake Brewery's sake other than the online store.

    For liquor stores nationwide, please see the list of stores that carry our products .
    It can also be purchased at the Sake Brewery Exchange Center attached to Fujii Sake Brewery in Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture.


◆About the online store

  • How long does it take from ordering to arrival?

    We will ship within 1-3 business days of your order. If you need it urgently, please contact us by phone. We may be able to accommodate your request depending on the product. Fujii Sake Brewery 0846-22-2029 (Weekdays 8:30-17:00) *Please note that we do not ship on weekends or holidays.

  • What payment methods can I use?

    You can pay by Amazon Pay, credit card, bank transfer, or convenience store payment. If you pay by bank transfer or convenience store payment, your order will be automatically canceled if the payment deadline has passed.

    If you wish to make payment after the payment deadline, please place your order again.

  • Please tell me the shipping method

    We will send it by Yu-Pack. Items that require refrigeration, such as unpasteurized sake and sets that include unpasteurized sake, will be shipped by refrigerated delivery. Please see our shipping policy for details.

  • Please tell me the shipping fee

    Within Hiroshima Prefecture: 770 yen Hokkaido and Okinawa: 1,760 yen Other than the above (domestic): 880 yen (tax included)
    For refrigerated delivery, an additional 440 yen will be charged. Please see our shipping policy for details.

  • What are the conditions for free shipping?

    If your order total is over 15,000 yen, shipping is free. An additional 550 yen will be charged for shipping to Hokkaido and Okinawa Prefecture. If you purchase a free shipping item and a standard shipping item together, shipping charges may apply due to system limitations. In this case, we will refund your money after confirming your order, so please wait a little while.

  • Can I issue a receipt?

    We will issue a receipt. Please write in the comments section that you require a receipt and the recipient's name. Please note that we cannot accept requests for special notes. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Should I use refrigerated shipping?

    For items shipped via refrigerated delivery, a refrigerated delivery fee will be calculated at the time of payment. For items shipped at room temperature (items that are not marked as refrigerated delivery at the time of payment), please contact us separately. Refrigerated delivery will cost 440 yen (tax included).

  • Can you provide packaging?

    Yes, we offer packaging. Please select this option from the product options section.
    For items without a box, we will charge you for the cost of a gift box to wrap the item.

    However, the gift box containing a single bottle will be sent in a gift box for a different brand, "Hoju," rather than "Ryusei" or "Emperor of the Night."

  • Can I purchase products that are not listed on the online store?

    Some items are available for purchase. Please contact us by phone or email. In that case, payment will be made by cash on delivery or after payment confirmation. Thank you for your understanding.
    *Please note that Ryusei -Limited Series- (products only available at authorized dealers) cannot be purchased.

  • Can I have a gift tag attached?

    Yes, I'll put you on the line.
    Please select "gift wrapping" in the product options section, and fill in the "notes" section with the type of gift wrapping (address) and whether or not you would like it personalized.

  • Can I combine my favorite drinks to make a set?

    Yes, you can combine your favorite alcoholic beverages. Simply purchase your favorite alcoholic beverages and the gift box. We will create a set for you.
